Description (Service) Provides peer-led education, consultation and community development services to foster self-help, networking and leadership development among adult consumers/survivors with serious mental illness and/or substance abuse/addiction issues 
Range of services and supports includes: 
  • peer support for consumer/survivors, either on a one-to-one basis or through various groups (WRAP - Wellness Recovery Action Planning), resource sessions and workshops 
  • information on mental illness, medications and other resources by way of the Mental Health Resource Library (such as books, videos, internet searches) 
  • assistance to consumer/survivors attempting to understand and navigate the formal and informal mental health and addiction system 
  • peer worker at Grey Bruce Health Services - Owen Sound Hospital Emergency department and Inpatient Unit
