Description (Service) | Patrols provincial highways and bodies of water. Enforces laws concerning vehicle traffic, liquor, gambling and illegal drugs under provincial statutes and criminal code. Informs citizens on crime prevention, safety and police oriented matters. Is responsible for complaints such as barking dogs and noise control issues under town by-laws, after hours. Text to 9-1-1 service available for persons who are deaf, hard of hearing or speech impaired. Eligible individuals must pre-register with their wireless provider for this service. Public Comments | For non-emergencies where an officer is required, call the Provincial Communications Centre (PCC) at 1-888-310-1122, Mon-Sun, 24 hours toll free anywhere in Ontario. The local detachment number 705-445-4321 should only be used for topics related to administration, for example checking on the status of your criminal record check or if you wish to speak a specific officer in relation to follow up for a case you already reported through PCC or 9-1-1. |
