Description

Description (Service) Provides comfortable reading spaces, public computer stations, wireless internet access and meeting rooms equipped with presentation equipment, and a gathering place for the community.

Collections include:
  • books, talking books, large print books, CNIB Daisy books and daisy players, multilingual collections in various formats and for all ages, multilingual book club sets
  • e-resources including eBooks, eAudio books, digital magazines and databases for all ages and interests
  • newspapers and magazines
  • DVDs, Blu-ray collection
  • comprehensive reference, government documents, local history and genealogy collections for in-library use
  • microfilm census reels for the Counties of Simcoe and Grey, back issues of local newspapers on microfilm.
Services include:
  • inter-library loan service
  • Books on Wheels - a free service to residence who are housebound
  • free public Internet stations and wifi
  • wi-fi printing
  • black & white, and colour photocopy service
  • Fax service, receiving and sending
  • meeting rooms for rent
  • an electronic newsletter
  • exam proctoring
Click,Connect! Immigration Assistance site. Provides newcomers with private area and a laptop to connect to an online immigration facilitator, as well as access to a scanner for any documents that need to be sent to the facilitator.

Library also has an accessible computer area with one adjustable accessible computer desk, area equipped with three computers, with large screen monitors (one touch screen monitor, two standard monitors), large print keyboards, touchpad mice, scanners, noise cancelling headphones located on the second floor of the building
An Infrared Assistive Listening Device is available in meeting rooms
Library is equipped with easy access for assistive devices including wheelchairs, browsing kaddies, accessible washrooms, automatic door openers. For a full list of accessible technology, feature and equipment see the library's website.
