|Description (Service)||Network of community-based agencies pooling their transportation resources. When the number of rides requested outnumber the number of available vehicles the CT Link transportation providers use a web-based portal to identify opportunities to pool transportation resources between agencies. Agencies can also post vehicles not currently in service, to inform other agencies of available capacities. This provides coordinating community based transportation providers with more options to provide rides to their clients.
The CT Link improves mobility options for people using community-based transportation services, such as seniors, people living with disabilities and/or medical concerns, and people on fixed incomes, by increasing their transportation opportunities.
The Community Transportation providers that have access to the portal include: Helping Hands, Red Cross, Community Reach, Barrie Area Native Advisory Circle (BANAC) and CHATS Community & Home Assistance To Seniors
