| Description (Service) | Provides individual counselling to children and teens who are struggling with a wide variety of issues including anxiety and depression, ADHD, autism, oppositional defiance and anger problems. Helps children and teens who are dealing with a loss - death of a family member or through separation and/or divorce. Trained in the New Ways For Families program as well as the Collaborative approach. Utilizes a strengths based focus that builds the child or teen's self esteem and helps them see they are very special. This approach also provides more opportunities for success. Also uses Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and art and play based activities and games to teach coping skills Works with parents individually and in groups. Trained in Triple P Parenting as well as the Incredible Years Parenting Program. Over 30 years of experience working with children, teens, parents and families. |
