A program to distribute backpacks and school supplies to eligible students
Service Details
Public Comments This year St Vincent DePaul is working with Community Cares on their backpack program and will not be have their own separate program. Interested families should contact Community Cares directly by sending an email to j_maclennan@live.ca with BACKPACK DRIVE 2021 in the Subject Line.

In the message include the Grade Level and Gender
  • if the child is under Gr.4 state any special characters, movies, or TV shows enjoyed. An attempt will be made to match special interests with 'themed' backpacks.


Deadline for Registration:
  • Aug. 20


How Will I Get My Backpack?:
  • an email will be sent to you with details of time and place closer to the pickup date.
  • Aug 26, 2021 at Trinity United Church


What Will Be In The Backpack?
  • grade appropriate school supplies
  • lunch bag and water bottle
  • masks and hand-sanitizer (hopefully)
