Description
Description (Service) | Note: The City of Barrie opened a warming centre at the Allandale Recreation Centre, 190 Bayview Drive, to support residents in need during power outages. This facility has heat and hydro and provides a safe, warm space for individuals who are experiencing cold temperatures or need shelter. Well-behaved pets are permitted. The warming centre is open, including overnight, until otherwise noted. When Environment Canada issues an extreme heat or cold alert, rest areas are available to residents for relief from extreme weather conditions. These can include public buildings such as libraries or community centres during regular business hours.
