Description

Description (Service) Community based policing works towards:
  • involving the community in the identification of crime, traffic, and social order problems and the solutions
  • providing policing services that are consistent with the identified concerns of the community
  • promoting community commitment and involvement in policing problems
  • participating with other community minded volunteers to address police and community concerns
  • increasing the OPP's effectiveness through the application and innovative reactive and proactive policing services
The community police officer works in conjunction with a community policing committee made of community minded volunteers. New members and ideas are welcome.

Areas Served Wasaga Beach
Eligibility Wasaga Beach resident and of suitable character. Must be willing to acquire a criminal reference check and have good moral standards.
