Free clinic for individuals unable to complete their income tax and benefit return themselves and are unable to pay for assistance.
Volunteers can help complete the income tax and benefit return if income is low and tax situation is simple.

Can prepare tax returns for constituents of the Simcoe-Grey Riding Federal Riding.

Service Details

Hours Mon-Fri 9 am-4:30 pm, until end of Jun 2025
Areas Served Blue Mountains ; Clearview (Simcoe County) ; Collingwood ; Wasaga Beach ; Constituent of riding
Eligibility Suggested maximum income level:
  • Single: Up to $35,000
  • Couple: Up to $45,000
  • One adult with child: Up to $35,000
  • $2500 for additional dependent

Volunteers do not prepare tax returns for complex situations such as:
  • returns for deceased persons
  • individuals who file for bankruptcy
  • self-employed individuals
  • individuals who report capital gains or losses
  • individuals who report employment expenses, or business or rental income and expenses

Eligible taxpayers normally served by the CVITP include:
  • Indigenous peoples
  • Low-income individuals and social assistance recipients
  • Newcomers to Canada
  • Seniors
  • Students
Application Call in advance to receive intake forms. Can drop off intake forms and documents required to complete the tax return.  
Return will be ready in one to two weeks for pickup.
