Description (Service) COVID-19 Response Due to concerns regarding COVID-19, the Wheels of Hope transportation service has been suspended until further notice 
 
Regular Service: 
National, community based organization of volunteers dedicated to the eradication of cancer and the enhancement of the quality of life of people living with cancer. Services include: 
 
  • Wheels of Hope - transportation service to and from treatment centres - for transportation requirements, please call the dedicated toll free line 
  • health promotion 
  • emotional support for patients and their families 
  • public education regarding cancer prevention and detection 
  • fundraising for research
 
 
Free wigs, turbans, breast prosthetics and blankets for cancer patients are available directly from the Owen Sound hospital (Oncology department, 5th floor)
