Description (Service) Adults who are currently receiving Ontario Works (OW) or Ontario Disability Support Program (ODSP) benefits, and who have been approved to receive discretionary benefits for dental care, often have difficulty finding a local dentist who will accept them. These clients can however, access full treatment services via:

Healthy Smiles Mobile Dental Clinic that visits various communities throughout the year (BAR2874)

Registered First Nations and recognized Inuit individuals covered by the Non-Insured Health Benefits for First Nations people and Inuit (NIHB) Program, are also eligible to utilize the Healthy Smiles programs listed above.

Callers outside of Simcoe Muskoka
  • Healthy Smiles is a provincial initiative for eligible children and youth 17 and under (Children and youth 17 and under are automatically eligible and automatically enrolled in Healthy Smiles Ontario when they or their family receive: OW, ODSP, Temporary Care Assistance or Assistance for Children with Severe Disabilities)
