Description

Description (Service) Provides the following services to adults with developmental disabilities:
  • Information about available supports, services and programs
  • Confirms eligibility for those applying for adult services for the first time
  • Completes an application package to determine each individuals' support needs
  • Reviews situations for urgent needs and refers accordingly
  • Connects eligible individuals to available MCCSS funded services and supports
The Central East Region is operated by Your Support Services Network.

Eligibility To confirm eligibility for MCCSS (Ministry of Children Community and Social Services) funded adult developmental services and supports, you will need to provide Developmental Services Ontario, Central East Region with documents that show:
  • You have a developmental disability
  • You are 18 years of age or older
  • You live in Ontario
Eligibility can be confirmed at age 16 and 17, but referrals cannot be made until age 18.

DSO will complete application process upon eligibility confirmation. A copy of a psychological assessment is required along with proof of age and residency.
