Description

Description (Service) Family Visit Centre offers:
  • safe, neutral and child-focused setting for visits between a child and non-custodial parent or other person
  • safety of all participants, including staff and volunteers
  • trained staff and volunteers to facilitate positive interaction between parents and their children
  • factual observation notes about the participants' use of the service to assist families and the court in making decisions about access

Calls made to office after hours, weekends and on holidays will be answered by 24hr answering service.

Hours Tue, Fri: 6 pm-8:30 pm * Sat, Sun 9 am-4 pm
Dates Closed for all statutory holidays.
Every effort will be made to accommodate visits/exchanges prior to the holidays and long weekends.

Eligibility Parties need to either have a court order or written agreement with respect to the access arrangements

self-referral or referral through courts
parents will be requested to provide a copy of the family court order or written agreement as well as copies of any criminal court orders

Fees Service - Charges an annual user fee to participants. There is also a fee to defray the cost of providing observation notes for court purposes
