| Description (Service) | COVID-19 Response Due to concerns regarding COVID-19, the Hanover and Owen Sound offices are closed to the public. Staff are working to assist people via phone, text, email and Zoom. Call 519-371-9230 ext 5 or email housing@osgb.ymca.ca. Limited in-person appointments are available by appointment - contact office. Regular Service: Provides assistance to adults and youth 16 and older across Grey and Bruce Counties who are homeless, at risk of homelessness or dealing with other housing issues. Assists people to maintain current living situations or find safe, affordable, long-term housing. In situations of immediate need, works with people to help find emergency shelter in Bruce-Grey and then to create an action plan to find and maintain long-term sustainable housing. Also offers assistance with Ontario Electricity Support Program (OESP) applications. Call reception and ask to make an appointment. You will then be informed which documents are required. Holds educational seminars for landlords to learn about topics such as taxes, legal responsibilities or mortgage options. Also has an office in Hanover at 425 10th St, Unit 7.
