| Description (Service) | Volunteer fire department provides protection from fire, life threatening emergencies and dangerous conditions through education, prevention, rescue, suppression and basic life support services. Burn Permits can now be obtained online. Please visit www.meaford.burnpermits.com to create an account which can also be used to renew your permit each year. There are now six burn permit types with descriptions and conditions for each permit listed after you create an account. For Bonfires, Brush Fires, Controlled Fires and Demolition Fires, you must call 1-855-693-0080 or log into your account to activate a notice of burn. If you require assistance in obtaining a permit, please call 519-538-1060 ext 1602. The Inter-Township Fire Department serves the southern part of the township of Georgian Bluffs and the Municipality of Meaford (Sydenham). It is located at 180 12th Street West, Owen Sound and the Fire Chief is Jeff Gautreau (519-376-9933). |
