Description (Service) | COVID-19 Response For individuals who are not in receipt of Ontario Works (OW) or Ontario Disability Support Program (ODSP), Emergency Assistance is available for those facing a crisis or emergency who have no immediate access to other supports. This assistance is temporary in nature. To apply for this benefit, contact the local OW office. See Emergency Assistance Online site for more information. Regular Service: Ontario Works Financial Assistance provides a monthly allowance based on family size, housing costs and income. Includes a monthly drug benefit card.
Interactive Voice Response (IVR) 1-800-808-2268 - individuals receiving Ontario Works will be provided an ID number and PIN. Automated information and payment details, payment history, file status. Information and announcements about Ontario Works. Public Comments | Clients may access applications for Ontario Disability Support Program (ODSP) through their OW social worker. There is no program called Student Welfare. Students who are between 16-18 and attending school but not living at home must meet strict criteria to be approved for assistance. |
