Description (Service) Organization whose goals are to provide support and social gatherings to veterans and their families, and to the community. Also support charitable groups.  
Motto is 'Service not for self-but service for others'. Celebrates Legion Week in September.  
Annual Poppy campaign is held the first two weeks in November, activities included are; tag days; a parade to the cenotaph on Remembrance Day, November 11, followed by a service at the cenotaph and comradeship at the Legion. Proceeds from the Poppy campaign are used to assist ex-veterans and their families, bursaries for education, literacy and poster contest prizes. 
Offers limited loan cupboard with wheelchairs * also coordinates donated items to those who need the specific items
