| Description (Service) | Provides support and social gatherings to veterans and their families and to the community Celebrates Legion Week in September Annual Poppy Campaign is held the first two weeks in November * Activities include: tag days, a parade to the cenotaph on Remembrance Day Nov 11, followed by a service at the cenotaph and comradeship at the Legion * Proceeds from the Poppy Campaign are used to assist veterans and their families, bursaries for education, literacy and poster contest prizes Offers a loan cupboard with medical assistive devices available for short-term use for public and members* Includes mobility items such as wheelchairs, walkers, crutches and canes * By donation if able * Accepts donations of mobility devices |
