Alzheimer Society of Huron County

Site: Betty Cardno Memorial Centre

Service: MedicAlert Safely Home

Description (Service) COVID19 Closed to the public, contact by phone or email.

The Alzheimer's Society is partnered with the Canadian MedicAlert Foundation to provide the MedicAlert Safely Home program; a nationwide program designed to help people with memory loss who are at risk of getting confused, leaving home and becoming lost.

A Medic Alert Safely Home bracelet is worn by the person at risk to speed up the search process by allowing police and emergency responders to quickly identify the person and assist in a safe return home. The bracelet information is customizable, allowing for additional medical information to also be shared with first responders.
