Service: Kinderoo School Readiness Program

Description (Service) To protect the rights of children, reduce child abuse and neglect and strengthen families to nurture their children. 
Enable at-risk families to access existing community services * support, educate and advocate for quality of life for all families and children  
Kinderoo School Readiness Program for children ages 3 to 5 who are preparing to enter Kindergarten * strengthen and support child's self-esteem and self-confidence * help children become familiar and comfortable with a school setting to improve chances of success * Joey the Kangaroo is the Kinderoo mascot 
6 weeks, 54-hour program * 3 hours per day, 3 days a week * registration fee per child  
Children become accustomed to routines, listen to stories, recite rhymes, share ideas, use pencils, scissors and glue * interact with other children * identify and appropriately express feelings * problem solving * early literacy * nutritional education, * help parents become involved in their children's education
