Description (Service)

Drop-in centre offers a safe, relaxed and friendly environment for adults with serious mental illness and addictions to drop in for a visit and/or participate in planned group activities. Provides socialization, workshops, classes and community-based events.

provides one-to-one support
offers a wide range of social, recreation, education and peer support activities and special events based on participant interests
offers scheduled sessions for small groups interested in developing or improving their skills in specific areas including communications, self-discovery, job re-entry and practical skills areas
serves as the site for various social recreational rehabilitation services as well as for educational activities and outreach services from the Consumer/Survivor Development Project

The Green House also serves as a satellite site for the Public Health Grey Bruce harm reduction program

The Wiarton Good Food Box is also run out of the Green House, providing nutritious food to community members each month. See separate entry for details
