Description (Service) | Provides support and social gatherings to veterans and their families and to the community Annual Poppy campaign is held the last Friday in October to November 11 * Activities include tag days, a parade to the cenotaph on Remembrance Day, November 11, followed by a service at the cenotaph and comradeship at the Legion * Proceeds from the Poppy campaign are used to assist ex-veterans and their families, bursaries for education, literacy and poster contest prizes Loan cupboard available for anyone in the community to borrow medical equipment for temporary use * Devices include walkers and canes * Accepts donations Also offers: * weekly Bingo * family dinner held on the second Sunday each month, everyone welcome * hall and meeting rooms available for rent, in-house catering available * Legion Week, 3rd week in September |
