Description (Service) | Provides therapeutic horseback riding lessons for challenged children and adults in Grey and Bruce Counties Certified instructors and physiotherapists tailor individual programs to meet the rider's specific needs whether it be physical, behavioural, speech, or occupational Other aspects of therapeutic riding involve socialization, recreation, outdoor activity, integration of people and animals, the challenge of sport, and the learning of useful skills, which include care and responsibility for an animal Facility offers an indoor arena, lounge and well trained horses Volunteer opportunities available as instructors, safety walkers and assistants. Time commitment is a minimum of 2 hrs, 1 evening a week. Call or email office for more information |
