Description (Service)

12 week group education program on domestic violence and non-abusive ways of resolving conflict

aims to help offenders and men who have been charged or who identify as violent to understand and change the underlying beliefs and attitudes that lead to violence in relationships.
victims/partners of the offender are provided with support including safety planning, referrals to community resources and information on offender's progress
program themes are drawn from the Power and Control and Equality Wheels as created by the Duluth Model at DAIP

A parallel group also runs for court-mandated women.

Public Comments	Program is also offered in Hanover but intake, inquiries and program details are provided through the Owen Sound office.
Hours	Program hours vary - men's groups run in the evenings and women's groups run Tue mornings. Call during office hours, Mon-Fri 8:30 am-4:30 pm
Areas Served	Bruce County ; Grey County
Eligibility	Offenders 18 years and older, ordered by the court or probation to attend the program in response to a criminal charge involving domestic violence. Service is available for self-referred individuals as well. 18 year(s) and up
Application	Call to schedule an intake/assessment phone call.
Languages	Translation available as required.
Fees	Client fee based on sliding scale - $5-80 per session
