Description

Description (Service) 12 week group education program on domestic violence and non-abusive ways of resolving conflict
  • aims to help offenders and men who have been charged or who identify as violent to understand and change the underlying beliefs and attitudes that lead to violence in relationships.
  • victims/partners of the offender are provided with support including safety planning, referrals to community resources and information on offender's progress
  • program themes are drawn from the Power and Control and Equality Wheels as created by the Duluth Model at DAIP
A parallel group also runs for court-mandated women.

Service Details

Public Comments Program is also offered in Hanover but intake, inquiries and program details are provided through the Owen Sound office.
Hours Program hours vary - men's groups run in the evenings and women's groups run Tue mornings.

Areas Served Bruce County ; Grey County
Eligibility Offenders 18 years and older, ordered by the court or probation to attend the program in response to a criminal charge involving domestic violence. Service is available for self-referred individuals as well.

Fees Client fee based on sliding scale - $5-80 per session
