| Description (Service) | COVID-19 Response Due to COVID-19 concerns, the 2020 Christmas Hamper program will be revised as follows: There will be no hampers with food, clothes or toys this year only. Gift cards only will be given out instead They will still be collecting donations of cash, cheques and gift cards, with the donations being used to purchase gift cards from local suppliers. Regular Service: Christmas hampers are available for low income families and people needing assistance in the Ripley area * Hamper includes a gift card for recipient to purchase their turkey, ham or other food choice, along with various other items such as produce, eggs, cheese and toys Donations of non-perishable food, toys and money are accepted and can be dropped off at boxes set up at: True Value/Pollock Electric, Ripley Variety (on Hwy 6), Amberley Store, Royal Canadian Legion Branch 440 and various churches * Cheque donations are to be made out to "Ripley and District Lions Club" and dropped off or mailed to the Lions Club, Box 149 Ripley, N0G2R0 * Call Larry or Marianne to see what donations are needed Volunteers still needed to deliver Cards hampers on Dec 1, 2020 starting at 9 am, call for details |
