Description (Service) Volunteer-based organization promotes and supports research and education in the fields of cardiovascular disease and cerebrovascular disease. Works in the fight against heart disease and stroke. Services include: 
* uses factual information, videos and literature to provide education to the public and to professionals 
* provides educational resources for schools, service clubs and lay groups 
* raises funds for research through the Annual Heart and Stroke Foundation canvas 
* participates in special events throughout the year, such as luncheons, big bike ride fundraiser, fit events and jump and hoop events at local public and high schools
