Service: Keystone Prevention Programs

Description (Service) Free services to families needing extra support to help them have and raise healthy babies and preschoolers. 
Programs include: 
* Healthy Beginnings - Canada Prenatal Nutrition Program (CPNP) 
* educational support groups 
* pregnancy and baby discussions with a registered nurse 
* discuss and encourage healthy eating with a dietitian 
* transportation and childcare provided free for participants of the program 
* nurse run volunteer home visiting program 
* professional nurses to answer questions and check baby's development 
* volunteer support to sit with the baby while mom rests with a nap, showers or spends time older siblings 
* help mom get out to appointments, groceries, go for walks 
* link mom with resources in the community 
* provide a non-judgmental listening ear 
Parent Mutual Aid 
* parent support groups 
* parenting program 
* quick and healthy cooking program 
* lifeskills 
* free quality childcare and transportation help for eligible persons 
Community Action Program for Children (CAPC) 
* helps families with young children (birth - 6) living in conditions which may impact on their ability to reach optimal health 
* Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder Community Mobilization Committee 
* Ontario Early Years Centres throughout Grey and Bruce (Ontario Early Years calendars available on Keystone website)
