Description

Description (Service) Volunteer-led local non-profit charitable community organization for children and youth in need of guidance and support. Offers mentoring opportunities with local positive adult mentors. Promotes the development of social skills, higher academic engagement and becoming positive members of the community.

Programs include:
  • Group mentoring program - Monthly group event brings Mentees and Mentors together to participate in fun adventures, games and activities. Mentees have the opportunity to learn different skills from various Mentors and build positive relationships, with the intent that individual matches will grow out of the connections made.
  • Community Activities - Small drop-in activities held throughout the month outside of the group program. Activities are interest-based and intended to create opportunities for kids and Mentors to interact on a regular basis.
  • Individual adult and child matches - Provides the Mentees the opportunity to meet one-on-one in their community to target growth and personal development.
