Description
| Description (Service) | Provides one-to-one supports, group programs (virtual and in-person), capacity building workshops and community partnerships for children, youth, adults and older adults with disabilities, mental health experiences and other barriers to participation throughout Canada. One-to-one services are provided in your home or community and can be used as respite for a caregiver, and as individual support in summer camps or general recreation programs. Group programs offer inclusive experiences in small groups that aim to provide social connection, soft skill development and recreation exploration for children, youth and adults. Programs are available virtually here and in some communities across Canada, in-person. Recreational Respite's supports and services are recognized by public/ministry and private foundations for funding or reimbursement for families who qualify. |

| Application | Call, email or visit website for information and to self-refer. You will meet virtually for a Recreation Therapy Assessment. When matched with a Community Engagement Provider, respite visits will begin. |

| Fees | 2025 rates: One-to-one respite: Initial one-time fee for recreation therapy assessment. Hourly rates of $38.50-$41.50 (minimum two-hour visit, minimum frequency of once per week). Virtual group services: $20-$25 per program per participant. |
