|Description (Service)||For individuals unable to complete their income tax and benefit return themselves and are unable to pay for assistance, the Community Volunteer Income Tax Program (CVITP) may be able to assist. Volunteers can help complete the income tax and benefit return if income is low and tax situation is simple.
Will complete prior and current year returns.

|Eligibility||These suggested maximum income levels should serve as a guideline only
Single individual – up to $35,000
Two-person family – up to $45,000 (combined income of a couple, or one adult with one child under 18)
+ add $2,500 for each additional dependent child in the family
Interest income limited to under $1,000
Local community organizations have the flexibility to adjust or set additional eligibility criteria for taxpayers based on the local economic environment, the population they serve, and their own capacity

Call the office of Alex Ruff, MP to leave a message for the Owen Sound CVITP who will return the call after 5 pm to arrange an appointment. Upon signing up, drop-off locations and dates will be provided to individuals.
Do not call or go to any Community Living office, all appointments and inquiries are arranged through the office of Alex Ruff.
Cancellations: 2 business days notice prior to appointment date is required to cancel an appointment. No shows will lose the privilege of using the clinic
