| Description (Service) | Regional project aims to build public awareness and support to welcome refugees and newcomers in rural communities. Community space provides refugees and vulnerable newcomers with resources, information and opportunities to interact with the community. Services include: * Information hub Newcomer Information Bruce Grey which provides information and resources to support newcomers' social and economic integration in a variety of languages * Services offered jointly with community partner * Training sessions for service providers, refugee sponsors and volunteer mentors Training tool kits for service providers, refugee sponsors and volunteer mentors are available * Rural tool kit also available * Contact welcominggreybruce@gmail for a free copy Partnership of the United Way Bruce Grey and the Grey Bruce Welcoming Communities Committee |
