Description (Service) COVID-19 Vaccine Information, and information specific to the Grey Bruce region changes rapidly, but up-to-date information can be found at this link. 

For those who may be unable to leave their homes for health reasons, a program has been created to administer vaccines to those unable to attend a clinic due to medical issues.Those receiving the vaccine must also meet eligibility criteria based on the Ontario ethical framework. This service is available by calling public health at 1-800-263-3456 ext 3000 or by email at covid19.vaccine@publichealthgreybruce.on.ca

Updates
  • As of August 18, 2021, all youth born in 2009 or earlier are eligible to receive their first or second dose of the Pfizer vaccine. Book appointments through the provincial booking system and call centre, or directly through public health units that use their own booking system.
  • Beginning June 14, 2021, individuals who received the AstraZeneca vaccine can book a second dose appointment that is eight or more weeks after their first dose, with informed consent. Individuals who received the Moderna or Pfizer vaccine can book a second dose appointment that is at least 28 days after their first dose.
  • June 1, 2021 - individuals aged 12 and older across Ontario will be eligible to book their first dose COVID-19 vaccine appointment through the provincial booking system and call centre, or directly through public health units that use their own booking system
  • As of Friday May 28, 2021, Individual  aged 80 years and older and received their first dose 10 weeks ago are eligible to receive their second dose of the vaccine (based on confirmed supply). Appointments can be book through the provincial booking system.
  • As Tuesday, May 18, 2021, individuals aged 18 and over in 2021 across Ontario will be eligible to book a COVID-19 vaccine appointment through the provincial booking system and call centre, or directly through public health units that use their own booking system.
    Individuals who are 17 years old and are turning 18 in 2021 will also be eligible to book their COVID-19 vaccination appointment only for the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine. The Pfizer vaccine is currently the only COVID-19 vaccine that has been authorized by Health Canada for use in youth aged 12 and over. The provincial booking system will note which clinics are not offering vaccines for those who are 17 years old.
    Beginning the week of May 31,2021 youth between the ages of 12 and 17 years will be eligible to book an appointment through the provincial booking system to receive their first dose of the Pfizer vaccine.
  • May 7, 2021: the Ontario Provincial Booking System will be accepting appointment bookings at mass immunization clinics, for  individuals aged 50 years and older by visiting Ontario.ca/bookvaccine or by calling 1-888-999-6488.
  • As of Apr 20, 2021, individuals aged 40 years and older will be able to book an appointment at a participating pharmacy to receive the AstraZeneca vaccine. Visit ontario.ca/pharmacycovidvaccine to find a pharmacy in your local area.
  • Apr 7, 2021: the Ontario Provincial Booking System will be accepting appointment bookings at mass immunization clinics, for  individuals aged 60 years and older by visiting Ontario.ca/bookvaccine or by calling 1-888-999-6488.
  • The Ontario government is increasing the number of pharmacies that will be able to offer the AstraZeneca vaccine. As early as Apr 3, 2021, individuals aged 55 years and older will be able to book an appointment at a participating pharmacy.
  • Starting Mar 15, 2021, the Ontario Provincial Booking System will be accepting appointment bookings at mass immunization clinics, starting with individuals aged 80 years and older by visiting Ontario.ca/bookvaccine.
