Description
Description (Service) | Supports women in understanding and changing the underlying beliefs and attitudes that lead to violence in relationships. This can lead to healthier relationships based on respect and equality. This is a 12-session program that works to address the underlying beliefs and perspectives that lead to violence in relationships. Groups are cofacilitated with outreach counsellors form Women's House Serving Bruce and Grey. |

Eligibility | Ages: 18 year(s) and up For women 18 years of age and up, who have been charged and referred after violence or harm in their relationship. Referrals may be in the form of a peace bond, bail variation, early intervention agreement, probation order, or through a probation officer. Service is available for self-referred individuals as well. Women who recognize they have caused harm or been violent in a relationship but who have not been charged, and women interested in breaking the patterns of harm and violence in relationships. |
Application | Referral can be completed by probation officers or the Crown Attorney. Individuals can also self-refer if they do not have charges. All program registration can be completed by calling or emailing the Men's Program office. Intakes are completed over the phone, must be scheduled in advance, and last 30-45 minutes. |
