| Description (Service) | The Minden Whitewater Preserve, on Horseshoe Lake Road, off Highway #35 just north of Minden, plays host to many recreational white-water paddlers, kayaking courses and water sports events, including the Olympic Kayaking Trials, World cup Slalom Races and most recently the Pan American Games 2015 It offers visitors a very scenic picnic area and walking trails. Please contact Boatwerks in Minden, regarding the various whitewater courses that they operate out of the Preserve.
