Description
Description (Service) | Adopt-a-Highway - King's Highways only. A public service program for volunteers to enhance the local litter collection activities of the Ministry of Transportation Ontario (MTO) by picking litter along provincial highway rights-of-way. A way for environmentally conscious groups and individuals to contribute to a cleaner and more beautiful provincial highway system. |

Application | Groups and/or individuals must submit an application to the Ministry of Transportation. Volunteers wishing to participate in the program must complete and submit an agreement to the area office in which the proposed section of the adopted highway right-of-way is located. Only volunteers who have received the required Ministry safety training and have signed the required form are allowed to participate in this program. |
