Description (Service) COVID19 (23 Nov 2021)  Patrons must line up at the front door where a volunteers will gather requested items from list. No ID currently required because of COVID-19. Prepared meals are limited to anyone who is ill, elderly or requires assistance with a home cooked meal.Community Kitchen learning programs are suspended until further notice.

Minden Food Bank provides fresh and canned or frozen meat, vegetables, fruits, cereal, eggs, baby food, bread and a limited supply of personal care products to needy families once a month.

Amount of food and/or products is determined by need and size of family
  • usually 7-10 days worth of food is distributed at each visit. Community kitchen makes flash frozen foods and distributes.

Food centre has been comprised into a small distribution hub as well as a community kitchen.

Community Kitchen learning programs for children as well as adults (from community living) to support their mental well-being.
