Description (Service) | COVID19 Those in need line up at the front door. Volunteers will gather requested items from list. Minden Food Bank provides fresh and canned or frozen meat, vegetables, fruits, cereal, eggs, baby food, bread and a limited supply of personal care products to needy families once a month. Amount of food and/or products is determined by need and size of family. Usually 7-10 days worth of food is distributed at each visit. Community kitchen makes flash frozen foods and distributes. Food centre has been comprised into a small distribution hub as well as a community kitchen. Teaches cooking to children as well as adults (from community living) to support their mental well-being. |
