|Description (Service)||* The Committee's primary objective is to preserve local heritage, boost local economy from tourism and job creation and to build and instill a sense of pride in the community.
* Restoration of the Austin saw mill and maintenance of Heritage Park is one of our primary goals.
* Heritage Community Recognition Program 2000. As well, the Committee organizes Canada Day Festivities, the Annual Dinner/Auction Gala and the summer Festival of the Arts; and with the help of the Royal Canadian Legion, the Santa Parade.
* The Committee is also in charge of the operation of the Tourist Information Centre, maintenance of the public washrooms and all the town enhancement activities such as flowers and litter free program
