Description

Description (Service) Provide important public health programs and services to residents in the City of Kawartha Lakes to help keep the community healthy by preventing illness, protecting against disease and promoting healthy lifestyles.

Works with other agencies, health care providers and partners to address social conditions so that everyone can have has an equal opportunity to be healthy.

The Health Unit's programs and services are developed under the guidance of the Ontario Public Health Standards: Requirements for Programs, Services and Accountability (OPHS).
