Description (Service) COVID-19 (1 Dec 2021) Due to physical distancing requirements, this location can only provide limited walk-in services. You must wear your mask when visiting. Services via phone and email are still available. 

The Haliburton County Public Library provides public library services through eight active locations within the County of Haliburton
  • Interlibrary Loan service provides access to materials held in other libraries and through the Info Net system, materials can be loaned from virtually any library in Ontario, Canada or around the world.
  • Each library branch has wireless Internet access and the public can use computers on site.

Areas Served Haliburton County
Eligibility Anyone living in or on the borders of Haliburton County including year-rounders, cottagers, and students can get a library card for free 
  • no age limits, youth under 16 need a parent's signature
Non-resident can obtain a card at cost $8 and good for a period of 3 months.
Application Visit any of the 8 branches to apply for library card or sign-up on line.
Languages English ; Proof of address is required to apply for a Library card. Visit the website for more details of acceptable identifications.
