Description (Service) | Salvation army provides Christmas hampers to singles, seniors, families and couples in need. Hamper includes food and toys. 2020 applications: Clients & Individuals can register to apply for a Christmas Hamper by calling 519-357-1387 starting Nov 2 - Nov 30, 10:00am-4:00pm. Registration closes Nov 30th at 4:00pm Clients will be informed of their scheduled pick up date and time for their hamper at time of registering. All hamper pick ups will be by appointment only and you must be registered. Families needing transportation to pick-up hampers or visit Christmas Bureaus contact Rural Response for Healthy Children 519-482-8777, 1-800-479-0716 or EMAIL to arrange a paid taxi or receive a gas card. Donations of Gift Cards for food and toys will be accepted for the 2020 Christmas Hampers until Dec 18th. Food donations are accepted any time of the year for the Salvation Army Food Bank. Hoping to give parents gift cards to purchase toys, instead of collecting toys. The items left over from last year will be given out. We are doing this because of the quarantine on items donated and the lack of space to store them. Angel Tree - SPECIAL FOR 2020 a toy gift card drive where individuals wanting to provide toys for a child can pick a tag off a tree and purchase a gift card for that child. Trees are located throughout Wingham and The Salvation Army Thrift Store. Call for more locations. 519-357-1387 Volunteers are required for the Salvation Army Kettle Drive. All donations given to the Kettle Drive help support the Food Bank and stay in the community. Call Debra at 519-357-1387 for more information on volunteering. |
