Description

Description (Service) Nordic Pole Walking is an alternative to regular walking and provides increased health benefits such as increased cardiovascular health and improved strength, posture, balance, and mobility
  • burn 20-45% more calories
  • decreased pressure on hips, knees and ankles.

Program brings people together with an instructor once a week during spring summer and fall to walk various trails in the local community and surrounding areas.

Spare sets of Nordic poles are available for usage by those who do not own their own.

Service Details

Hours Pole Walking occurs every Wed from 11 am-12 noon.
Program runs Apr-Oct. It's simply a drop-in, no registration required.
Areas Served Christian Island ; Midland ; Penetanguishene ; Tay ; Tiny
Eligibility Adults seeking improvement to their physical health.
