The Penetanguishene Museum is housed in an 1875 Heritage Building, formerly the C. Beck Lumber office and General Store, showcasing the town's bilingual and Victorian past. The museum displays, documents and artifacts including:


  • the Abinaki and Huron tribes
  • BrulĂ©, Champlain, Rocellet and Jesuit missionaries
  • logging, lumbering and industrial development
  • domestic, pioneer, retail and recreational items and exhibits
  • 1903 Oldsmobile
  • replica of a 1891 Firehall
