Description (Service) | Appointed by the Midland Town Council, the Midland Seniors Council is committed to making life safer and better for seniors in the Midland area. The official mandate is 'to recommend, advocate or act as a catalyst for the introduction, improvement and enhancement of services for seniors.' Organizes a voluntary door-tag program which alerts neighbours to emergencies suffered by seniors who live alone. They are the local coordinators for the Vial of Life program which assists seniors in keeping a record of their medication needs in a safe place in case of fire or other emergency. |
