Description

Description (Service) Specialized transit service for people unable to use conventional public transit due to a physical disability or functional disability. LINX conventional buses are equipped with features to make them fully accessible.

LINX PLUS+ service currently operates along Route 1 (Penetanguishene to Barrie). LINX PLUS+ service will commence along Routes 2 (Wasaga Beach to Barrie), 3 (Orillia to Barrie) and 4 (Wasaga Beach to Collingwood) Route 5 (Alliston to Bradford) 6 (Midland to Orillia)
  • operates along Routes 1-6 including towns of Penetanguishene, Midland, Elmvale, Orillia, Village of Midhurst and City of Barrie
  • provides pre-arranged door-to-door public service and/or service to and from conventional transit (LINX) for registered users
  • available on an unconditional (permanent), temporary or conditional basis, depending on the registered user's eligibility
  • registered clients may use the service for medical appointments, school, shopping, visiting family or friends and social outings within the defined transit service area
