Service: Urgent Needs Fund

Description (Service) A discretionary fund available to provide individuals in Simcoe Muskoka experiencing or at-risk of poverty emergency financial assistance with modest one-time grants to address basic needs including 
* groceries 
* clothing 
* transportation 
* housing start up costs 
* health and wellness 
* personal identification 
* income tax filing costs 
* phones 
* appliances (air conditioner, ovens etc) 
* assisted devices 
* medical supplies 
This program also has funds to support seniors 55+ with urgent and basic needs 
Requests for assistance will be reviewed on a case by case basis

Areas Served Muskoka District ; Simcoe County
Eligibility Individual must reside in Simcoe County or Muskoka District * have exhausted all other funding options * have an annual household income that meets one of the following: 
1 person household with income of $28,000 or less 
2 person household with income of $39,000 or less 
3 - 4 person household with income of $48,000 or less 
5 or more person household with income of $52,000 or less 
ID, SIN and proof of income is required
