Description (Service) Community organizations that provide assistance for Christmas are nonprofit organizations with limited resources. We request that you respect their efforts to help people within their community by applying to only the one program that serves your community.

Good Food Box 
The Good Food Box provides, on a monthly basis, affordable fresh fruit and vegetables.  
Available in most communities in Simcoe County. Contact The Karma Project at 705-355-5999 for information and locations. [2017] 
The Savation Army will assist families in need with a food hamper and toys for children. Applications for assistance in 2017 will be available as of October 12 and must be picked up at the offices, see address below, by end of November. Applicants will be called to arrange an interview during which they will be asked to provide identification and records of their income and expense. [2017] 
Society of St Vincent de Paul, St Margaret's Church, Midland has an Annual Christmas Basket program for those in need. Families must preregister, registration is in Oct/Nov. Call 705-526-7585 for registration schedule. [2017] 
Society of St Vincent de Paul, St Ann's Church, Penetanguishene Christmas Basket program available to those in need with applications available as of late October or early November annually at on the church office. Register before Nov 12. An interview will be arranged to which you should bring identification for all members of family. [2017] 
Society of St Vincent de Paul, St. Mary's Church, Victoria Harbour Christmas Cheer Baskets, with food and gifts for children, provided to families in need. Families must register at the food bank which is held at the church, 266 Albert St. - Wed and Fri from 10 am-11:30 am. Registration starts by the end of October and registration must be made by November 17. Register for assistance at the food bank, bring proof of income and identification for all family members. Elmvale/Springwater Township  
Elmvale Food Bank provides food hampers and possibly toys at Christmas. Registration will be during food bank hours, Wed 4 pm-6 pm, Thu 10 am-12 noon, in the Community Centre at 35 Queen St. W. If not already registered for the food bank, proof of residency in Elmvale will be required at registration. [2017]
