Description
Description (Service) Club is involved in fundraising throughout the year for charitable purposes throughout the community
  • Helps to support initiatives such as the Lion's Dialysis Camp at Dorset, South Muskoka Memorial Hospital foundation, as well as services for the blind, including the CNIB Camp Lake Joseph Centre and Guide Dogs of Canada
  • Supports numerous community initiatives, including Annie Williams Memorial Park, Winterfest, Big Brothers/Sisters and provide bursaries to deserving students
  • Assists youth causes in the community and people with sight or hearing problems
    • Will provide financial assistance directly to optometrists or other professional to cover the cost of services, glasses, etc
    • Must be arranged before the service is received
  • Sponsors eye test at schools for student in kindergarden to grade 4Financial assistance for other medical issues and equipment, transportation, and necessities of life may be possible
    • Requests for assistance should be addressed to the Club
  • Club offers their clubhouse free of charge to local non profits and charitable organizations who need meeting facilities
    • Rents facility for private functions
