Description (Service) | The Mothers of Newborns Program at the YMCA is designed to provide new mothers with an easy and safe path towards health and wellness while creating a network of support and belonging during their baby's first year. Program participants will have access, at no cost, to: • Facilities in both the Cobourg and Brighton Y sites to participate in group fitness, including training equipment and the pool at the Cobourg Y. • Ten hours of Playcentre child care free to the mother to use the Cobourg facility or participate in programming. • Specialty classes designed for mothers and newborns, including Mom and Baby Yoga, Water Baby Bootcamp, Stroller Strong, and Strong Bodies for Mom • Additional programs developed through partnerships with Northumberland EarlyON, Haliburton Kawartha Pine Ridge District Health Unit, La Leche League Northumberland, and Northumberland Hills Hospital, to provide social networking opportunities, resources and support. |
