Description

Description (Service) A community based outreach program for community members to have access to a university-level educational experience despite financial or social barriers.
  • Humanities 101 does not provide entry into Lakehead University
  • Evening courses
  • Dinner included
  • Child and elder care cost covered by program
  • City Bus Pass and YMCA membership provided while in the program
The one semester non-credit course covers subject areas such as:
  • Social Work
  • Aboriginal Studies
  • English
  • History
  • Anthropology
  • Psychology
  • Environmental Education

Service Details

Hours Office: Mon-Fri 8:30 am-4:30 pm 
 
Program Start: Jan for 12 weeks evening classes
Areas Served Chippewas of Rama First Nation ; Orillia ; Oro-Medonte ; Rama ; Ramara ; Severn
Eligibility Students must be able to read a newspaper
